A great way to finish “National Salad Month”!

Quick and Fancy Salad

Serves 6 | Serving Size: 1-1/2 cups

This salad uses simple and colorful ingredients, yet presents a different twist on your everyday salad.


8 cups mixed leafy greens
1 cup grape tomatoes
1 diced pear
1/4 cup diced red onion
1/4 cup feta cheese
2 tablespoons pecans
1 lemon, cut into wedges
Black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil

Place the greens in a large salad bowl. Top them with the tomatoes, pear, onion, cheese, and pecans. Garnish the salad with lemon wedges and black pepper.Serve with a cruet of olive oil to the side. Allow guests to serve themselves and top their own salad with fresh lemon juice and a dash of olive oil.

Chef’s Tips:
No pecans? Try walnuts or almonds!
