Chick-Fil-A offers free food for putting cell phone away.
How far would you go for free ice cream? Would you put your phone away at a meal?
Chick-fil-A just launched a new “family challenge” that asks customers to put their cellphones on silent and place them in a “Cell Phone Coop” until the end of the meal.
Every family member who makes it through the meal without their phone receives a free ice cream – http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-03-03/chick-fil-a-offers-free-food-to-customers-who-put-away-their-cell-phones
I remember what it was like before cell phones and multiple gadgets. My mom, dad, brother, and myself all sat around the table, with the TV off and talked about our day. No one was distracted by checking their phones or social media. I believe if we returned to the family dinner table, we all would be healthier physically and families would be a lot closer.
While I rather see people doing this at home around their own dinner table, I believe this a good start and I salute Chick-Fil-A for doing it.
What do you think about the “Cell Phone Coop”?
