I found these great healthy Halloween treats on the internet and thought they would be great to make for this weekends parties. They are delicious and I know your family and friends will enjoy them too. They will be a great alternative to all the high sugar treats.


Pumpkin Dippers

Give your tired chips-and-dip routine a healthy costume change. Try this adorable pumpkin-patch-themed dish your kids will love!

You’ll need: 2 large carrots, Toothpicks, Curly-leaf parsley, Scallions, Hummus

Directions: Cut carrots into coin shapes and spear in the center with a toothpick. Add a parsley leaf to the top of the carrot (through the toothpick), and then cut a small piece of scallion and thread it onto the toothpick to use as the pumpkin stem. Spread store-bought hummus on a platter, dish, or tray to create the field, and arrange pumpkins on top.



Witches’ Broomsticks

Want to wow your kids? Whip up a batch of witches’ broomsticks faster than you can shriek, “I’ll get you my pretty and your little dog too!” Low in calories and fat and a good source of protein, these tasty treats will fly off the plate.

You’ll need: Reduced-fat mozzarella cheese sticks, Pretzel sticks, Chives

Directions: To make the broom, slice the mozzarella stick across in thirds. Use a knife or scissors to cut a fringe pattern on the lower half of the cheese. Insert a pretzel stick into the cheese, making the broomstick, and tie a chive around the top.
